Here we start to see the difference between using sawdust and the far superior cocopeat. If you remember, the sawdust sat between the diesel oil and the salt water, absorbing them both. In the picture above, you can see that the cocopeat and the diesel oil are occupying the same position, while the salt water is sitting firmly below the cocopeat.
Filtered Residual Water
After the cocopeat had solidified and we filtered it in the same way as the sawdust, the residual water pictured above remained. Unfortunately, you can see in the image above that while our competitor’s cocopeat has done a decent job, there is still oil residue in the water.
